Good Morning! “BROKEN AT THE FEET OF JESUS” John 12:3 is a very powerful verse that gives us insight into what it looks like to give God our all!!!! Verse 3 Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. 4 Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who would betray Him, said, 5 “Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” One of the most powerful moments of Worship in History that Jesus said would be a memorial to the generations is this moment where Mary demonstrates Authentic Worship! Mary gave the most valuable thing she had which was an alabaster jar of a pound of perfume. Not a drop but a pound. And she took that and she broke it at the feet of Jesus and filled the whole house with her fragrance of Worship!!!!! I love that because the breaking of the jar tells the story that even if she was tempted to hold back from God she broke it so she could not go back and fulfill that temptation!!!! Once it was broke their was no way to hold from God!! she overcame by simply breaking it!! It’s time to break out and worship! Throw off the fear and put on a garment praise!!!!! I love this because God is looking for generation that will laytheir whole heart broken before God! True worship says here I am God, here is my whole heart, I lay it at your feet! Here is all my strengths, my weakness, my moments of success, my failures, my possessions, my thoughts, my ideas!!!! My entire life let it lay broken at the feet of my Jesus!! When you give God your all rest assured that the Critics will come out! When the fragrance of your worship takes over atmospheres In a place those that will not make that type of sacrifice will attempt to criticize your relentless per suit of Jesus!!! The critical voice of Judas will come to say ” It doesn’t require all of that!” The voice of Judas said we could have sold that for 300 Denarri!! The voice of Judas says we can make money off of your talents and off of the skills God has given you! The voice of judas convinces the church that there is no reason to worship God with that level of abandonment, it is to radical!!!!!!The critic wants to take the value that God has given you and build the church without sacrifice, without carpet time, without your face pressed against the floor worshiping Jesus! In the last days the critical spirit is rising in America that is asking the questions like does it require us to give up everything including our time and talent to honor God!! The answer is yes!! God wants every drop of your perfume!!! I want to close with this nugget of truth! 300 denarii was a years worth of wages! Which is 365 days worth of wages! Judas wanted wages and Jesus wanted Worship! Mary exchanged her WAGES FOR WORSHIP!!! This is the prophetic picture of how God wants you to worship him with your whole life the whole year!! 365 days of Giving God all you got!! Critics will come and call you a radical fanatical saying you could have given your time or talent in other places! But everything you have belongs to Jesus! Therefore get into his presence and Worship!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Break your alabaster box of precious worship and let Jesus rebuke the spirit of Judas that can’t handle your sacrifice!!! Always remember good works like feeding the poor can never take the place of intimacy with Jesus!!!!! Ministry Works cannot supersede alone time with Jesus!!God bless!
