Day 10 of 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

You are about half way there and you are noticing that your spiritual appetite has increased!! You are having cravings and longings for the presence of God. Back to Mathew 4:4 that says Man cannot live on bread alone but every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Father. Fasting and prayer will empower you to distinguish between what you need and what you want. A lot of of times our hunger pains try to tell us what we need when in reality it is just a want. Telling your natural appetite no through fasting will begin to bring clarity between need and wants. This discipline will spill over into your spiritual life you!! You may not want to read your Bible but your Bible but the voice of the Holy Spirit is clearly saying but you need to read your Bible. You may not want to spend time in prayer but when your spirit man is in tune you hear that clear voice saying it’s not about your want it is about the fact you need to spend time with Jesus! You may not want to go to church on a Sunday but we all know you need to go on Sunday! Prayer and Fasting will clearly separate wants from needs. You don’t need a piece of pie to live but you may want a piece of pie during this Fast!! Your appetite will produce a craving that lies to you and makes a want feel like a need! Fasting reveals the true wants and the true needs and empowers your walk with God to be driven by a need for His presence not whether or not you want it! Keep up the good work you are doing awesome!! GOD BLESS!!
